SPE Conference! Yanchang Petroleum Tight Gas Core Key Technology Draws Wide Attention

Muscat, Oman] From 22 to 24 April, SPE Petroleum and Energy Exhibition Conference was held in Muscat, Oman, and the Natural Gas Research Institute of the Group participated in the conference and made a report on the exchange of "Mixed Well Network Stereoscopic Development Technology" at the conference, which gained wide attention and affirmation of the delegates.
Founded in 1957, SPE is an international organisation of petroleum researchers with more than 150,000 members in 154 countries around the world and a strong influence in the oil and gas industry. The theme of this conference is "Affordable, Sustainable and Clean Energy", experts and decision makers from around the world to discuss the progress, challenges and development trends of the oil and gas industry. The conference set up a number of forums on the energy transition of the oil and gas industry, zero-carbon path, offshore oil and gas development, natural gas extraction, enhanced recovery and digital development, etc., and the delegates carried out extensive and in-depth technical exchanges. At the same time, more than 80 domestic and foreign oil and gas companies, equipment manufacturers and oil service companies, such as BP, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, Oman National Oil Company, etc., participated in the exhibition, displaying the current international advanced oil and gas exploration and development technology and equipment and tools.
Hybrid well network three-dimensional development technology is a key technology for efficient development of tight gas led by the Group. It was invited to make a conference communication report "AI-assisted well network optimisation design and intelligent deployment technology based on Yan'an tight gas field", which demonstrated the innovative achievements of Yanchang Petroleum Group in tight gas development. The technology stood out in the conference and triggered extensive attention and discussion among the delegates. During the visit, the Gas Research Institute also went to Schlumberger Oman for technical exchanges and in-depth discussions on technologies such as 3D modelling of reservoir properties, advanced drilling and completion based on cloud platforms, and the adaptability of their application in Yan'an gas field.
